How we review
Every entry follows the same routine. It's short enough to print in full.
§1 The check
For each game we visit the official site and, where one exists, the official wiki or help pages. We confirm that the game is live, that new players can sign up, that it runs in a browser and what the publisher charges for. The date of the check is printed on every entry.
§2 What counts as fact
Only what the publisher states or what we can see on its pages. Player counts, ratings and reviews from elsewhere don't go into the ledger, and neither do figures we couldn't confirm.
§3 What counts as opinion
Verdicts, the 'right desk, wrong desk' lists and the credit-and-debit tables are our judgement, based on the mechanics we confirmed. Time estimates are reasoned from the timers and session design the publisher describes.
§4 What gets left out
Games that are closed, unreachable or not accepting new players. We don't use star ratings or scores: a number would suggest a precision we don't have.
§5 Updates
We recheck the ledger periodically. If a game closes or changes its model, the entry is amended or struck out. Spotted something out of date? Write to [email protected].
